Terms in writing

Every car carries a standard motor policy, with optional CDW to cut your excess. Deposit, mileage and penalties are all listed below.

Terms and conditions

By renting with Linkfox, the Authorised Person accepts the following Vehicle Usage Agreement. Please read it before booking.

Booking and delivery

  • All bookings subject to availability; book at least 24 hours before pick-up.
  • If no confirmation within 12 hours, the vehicle is considered unavailable.
  • Delivery/collection within 10 KM: MYR15 per trip. Above 10 KM: MYR1.50/KM.
  • Additional MYR15 per trip for delivery before 08:00 or after 17:00.

Driver and licence

  • Drivers must be between 23 and 65 years old.
  • Foreign nationals with a valid English licence may drive up to 3 months.
  • Probationary (P) licence holders are not accepted.
  • Additional drivers: RM10 per person per day, must register at pick-up.
  • Handing the vehicle to an unauthorised driver: penalty from MYR500.

Authorised Person

  • Only the person who booked and submitted valid IC/Passport & licence may collect.
  • Present original documents for verification at collection.
  • Inspect the vehicle for existing damage before taking possession.
  • Unreported damage is deemed to have occurred during your usage.

Mileage and usage

  • Minimum usage one day (24 hours); extension above 12 hours = full-day rate.
  • Mileage allowance 200 KM per day.
  • Excess mileage: Group A MYR0.50/KM up to Group D MYR3.00/KM.
  • Fair-usage unlimited mileage for Group A & B on 3 days+ (reasonable cap applies).

Insurance, CDW and excess

  • All vehicles fully insured under standard motor policy.
  • Excess up to MYR5,000 (Group A–B) / MYR10,000 (Group C–D).
  • Optional CDW reduces excess: from MYR10/day (A–B) to MYR40/day (D).
  • Not covered: negligence, tyre/underbody/windscreen, fuel errors, unsealed roads.
  • A police report must be lodged within 24 hours of any accident or theft.

Deposit and fuel

  • Security deposit RM300–RM3,000 per vehicle (daily/weekly).
  • Refunded within 10–14 working days if returned in good condition, no summons.
  • Monthly/yearly: deposit minimum 1+1 months' usage fee.
  • Return fuel at same level as collection, or up to RM300 refuelling surcharge.

Penalties and cleanliness

  • Special cleaning / smoking / pets: penalty up to RM500.
  • Traffic & parking summons are the Authorised Person's responsibility.
  • RM300 penalty if summons not settled within the specified time.
  • Outstanding amounts may be reported to authorities & CTOS.

Return, extension and cancellation

  • Notify ops 12 hours ahead, no later than 6 hours before return (Cut-Off Period).
  • Failure to notify within Cut-Off may result in double charges.
  • Cancel 72+ hours before pick-up: full refund.
  • Within 72 hours: one day's usage forfeited.

Chauffeur and bus rental

  • Chauffeur hours 10 hours per day (08:00–18:00); overtime MYR50/hour per vehicle.
  • Toll & parking not included; overnight surcharge RM100/night.
  • Bus rental includes driver, fuel, toll & passenger insurance.
  • Tour guide excluded (MYR250/day).

Misuse and speed limit

  • Highway limit 110 KM/h; normal roads 90 KM/h.
  • Misuse, illegal operation or reckless driving = immediate termination.
  • Authorised Person liable for all damages, fines, towing & lost business.
  • Deposits & advance payments may be forfeited; legal remedies may apply.

By confirming a booking, the Authorised Person agrees to the full Vehicle Usage Agreement and consents to Linkfox sharing personal data with relevant agencies (including enforcement authorities and CTOS) for debt-recovery purposes. The full agreement is provided in writing at the point of rental.

Yes, within our service areas in Klang Valley, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Sabah and Sarawak, including KLIA, KLIA2, Subang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching airports. Delivery within 10 KM is MYR15 per trip; above 10 KM is MYR1.50/KM. An extra MYR15 applies before 08:00 or after 17:00. Other locations can be arranged on request.
Drivers must be aged 23 to 65 with a valid (non-probationary) driving licence. Foreign nationals holding a valid English-language licence may drive in Malaysia for up to 3 months. Additional drivers can be registered at MYR10 per person per day.
Deposits range from RM300 to RM3,000 per vehicle for daily/weekly rentals, depending on the model. The deposit is refunded within 10–14 working days, provided the car is returned in good condition with no outstanding summons. Monthly/yearly rentals require a minimum 1+1 months' deposit.
All vehicles are fully insured. In an accident, your liability (excess) is up to MYR5,000 for Group A–B and MYR10,000 for Group C–D. You can reduce this with optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) from MYR10/day. Negligence, tyre/windscreen/underbody damage and driving on unsealed roads are not covered.
Cars include 200 KM per day. Excess mileage is charged from MYR0.50/KM depending on vehicle group. For rentals of 3 days or more, Group A and B vehicles get fair-usage unlimited mileage, subject to an agreed destination and a reasonable cap.
Cancellations made at least 72 hours before pickup get a full refund. Within 72 hours, one day's usage is forfeited. To change your return time, tell our operations team at least 12 hours ahead and no later than 6 hours before the scheduled return.
No. Smoking and pets aren't allowed, and a cleaning penalty of up to RM500 applies. Please return the car free of rubbish and with the same fuel level as at pickup.
